Friday Night Lights LOVE

So the season 3 premiered last Friday on NBC at 8:00 pm and if you missed it (sissy!!) check it out on NBC.com its worth it. If you haven't taking my advice (shame on you) you can catch up online as well. I was kind of upset when season 2 was cut short by the writers strike, but season 3 starts out as a new school year and you get caught up on everyone and their current whereabouts. There are some shockers love link between Lila and Tim (my man showcased below) , Tammy is now running the school... and many more. Everyone tune in to watch episode 2 this Friday!!

Winter fun...

We recently went sledding ( I didn't know if I mentioned this earlier) and we had tons of fun, we even took spike for a little while but he wanted to chase everyone there so we had to take him back home. We had sooooo much fun!! I can't wait to go again! Warm winter wishes to everyone who is feeling this cold brrrr!! I don't know how much longer I can take it! Luckily I may be escaping into California with Tia this March for a reboot.

food for thought...

I was cleaning out my folders on the good ole laptop today and found this little twist of the Foot Prints in the Sand poem. I thought it was funny and very thought provoking.

Butt Prints in the Sand

One night I had a wondrous dream,
One set of footprints there was seen,
The footprints of my precious Lord,
But mine were not along the shore.
But then some stranger prints appeared...

How often do we forget that we must rely on the Lord in our lives. I know I am guilty of doing just that, I get too comfortable in life and forget to thank my Savior for walking beside me. Or in a trial I overlook the fact that I can turn to Him and give Him my burdens and He will carry me, so He in turn has to leave me to struggle on my own. I know that if only I reach out for Him and put my faith in Him, He will help me to rise and take a stand, and not to leave my butt prints in the sand. What a great blessing to know that someone is just waiting to help us whenever we ask, to know that faith can really make us whole. I am so grateful for that promise.

Welcome to 2009!

Welcome 2009!! I cannot wait to see what this year has in store for me and those close to me! It has been very exciting thus far and hey we are only two days into it. New Years Eve was very fun (sorry Sissy, Jennie, Baker, Steph, Chase and Babe for missing the hoopla at the Moser's) We had dinner at Tia's house ribs, egg rolls, sandwiches, the works it was amazing. Next we moved the bash to the Larsen's and played games Mafia in particular it was very interesting because all the boys are so competitive and wanted to be the 'killer' they would kill people when they weren't suppose too! It was all in good fun, the we sipped some virgin bubbly until about 2 then headed home.

New Years day was full of excitement I went to bed at 4am and woke up at 4pm...haha but then Me, Tia and Cas headed to the movie Bedtime Stories. Very cute!! I recommend it to anyone who thinks there are no happy endings in real life, and that we don't inevitably control our own destiny. Linsey also said Hasta Leugo to us for a whole week! She is off to the Mexican Rivera on a cruise with Steph and Tory and Dallin I am so jealous!

There will be no resolutions for this year made, I may have implied one but I have decided that I don't want to change anything for only a year I want to change everything forever!! This year I am taking control of my life and I am going to find the person I know is hiding in me somewhere. So with the help of family and friends I am going to make more memories and live.
